Configuration of Outlook Office 365

Requirements:

General parameters

We recommend using the IMAP protocol if you access your mailbox from different devices (PC, Mobile phone, Tablet, …).

For WEB hosting:

For IMAP you have to use the server > imap.online.net with the TCP port 993, basic authentication method and connection type SSL.

For SMTP you have to use the server > smtp.online.net with the TCP port 587 or 465.

For CLOUD hosting:

For IMAP you have to use the server > imap.cloud.online.net with the TCP port 993, basic authentication method and connection type SSL.

For SMTP you have to use the server > smtp.cloud.online.net with the TCP port 587 or 465.

Configuration of an e-mail account in Outlook Office 365

1. Click on the Settings icon , then on View all Outlook settings at the bottom of the settings tab:

2. Click on the Sync email tab in the Mail section, followed by Other email accounts in the Add a connected account section to configure a new external mail account:

3. Enter your Display Name, Email address and Password in the form. You can choose where the imported email will be stored. By default, a new folder with all sub-folders present in your mailbox will be created. If you wish to import your mail into your existing folders, tick the corresponding checkbox. Confirm your choice by clicking on OK

4. Choose the connection type for your mailbox. Enter the incoming email server details corresponding to your hosting offer. You can either choose to send outgoing email using your Office 365 account, or by using the SMTP server associated to your hosting to send emails from your email address. Tick the checkbox, to send email using the SMTP server provided by Online by Scaleway.

5. Enter the SMTP server details corresponding to your hosting offer.

6. Click Save to test the connection to your mailbox and to save the configuration.

Outlook Office 365 will now download the mails of your email account.
