If you can connect to your mailbox using the webmail, chances are high that there is a problem with the configuration of your computer.

Verify your user name

By default some email clients cut the domain part of your email address in the user name.

For example with the email address “firstname.lastname@example.com”, your client cuts it to “firstname.lastname”, which is incorrect.

You have to use the complete email address, which is, in our case: “firstname.lastname@example.com”
