Enabling Two Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication increases the security of your account by requesting an additional code, called One Time Password (OTP). It is generated by an additional device and valid only for a short period of time. This gives additional protection to your account. Even if your password gets leaked, it will not be possible to connect to the account without a valid OTP.

At Online two factor authentication is done with the application Google Authenticator. It is a free application that is available for most smartphones running on iOS, Android, and other popular mobile platforms.

Activating Two Factor Authentication on your phone

  • Go to the Setup section of the page and click on Show QR Code:

  • Scan the QR code with the application on your Smartphone (1). Once the code has been recognized an OTP will be displayed on the screen of your phone. Enter the OTP in the form and click on the button to validate it (2).

  • Your phone has now been linked to your account and you will be asked to enter the OTP on your next connection to the management console.

Emergency Validation Codes

You can download a list of emergency validation codes from your management console.

These codes can be used to gain access to your account in the event that your phone is not available (for example it got lost or stolen).

Click on the button Show Emergency Codes to display the list of the codes:

You can print the list or download and store it in a secure environment to have an access to your account in an emergency.

Important: Make sure to keep the access codes in a secure environment. In case you won't have your two-factor authentication device and no access to the Emergency Validation codes, you won't be able to access your account. In this case you need to contact the technical assistance.
